The new Mi8 is designed for manufacturing complex multiple-operation work pieces for industries that demand parts with extreme precision, such as medical and aerospace.

Its multi-axis functionality with integrated tool changer makes it highly flexible, allowing it to more easily meet the needs of companies developing new technologies. Parts for electric hybrid and hydrogen engines, as well as parts for new generation diesel and gas fuel injection systems are made with the utmost precision with the Mi8.

The Mi8 also provides great opportunity in the Die Mold industry. Labor demands continue to put pressure on the manufacturing community, but with the Mi8, small production runs of carbon and copper electrodes can be machined unattended with the integration of a simple robot.

The B-axis, with a 270-degree range of motion, delivers multi-axis functionality for increased flexibility. A five-face machining in a single set-up, fixed station tools for turning, 20-station tool changer for rotary tools, 8,000 RPM main turning spindle, and 20,000 RPM milling spindle are among other features that provide efficient production solutions to meet increased labor demands.
